Oblivious
04:53
|
|||
I know it looks like I am just staring at the sky… oblivious.
Oh. no.
I know it looks like I get distracted by the stars sometimes.
Oh, no.
No matter where I am.
No matter what I do.
No matter how far away I am from you…
Your love is all I’m thinking of.
Your eyes are all I see.
Your hand is all I feel.
Touch my heart and it will heal.
I just know it will.
I know it seems like I lose track of the days and
time goes by and on.
Oh, no.
No matter where I am.
No matter what I do.
No matter how far away I am from you…
Your love is all I’m thinking of.
Your eyes are all I see.
Your hand is all I feel.
Touch my heart and it will heal.
I just know it will.
Oh, yeah… I just know it will.

Far
03:16
|
|||
Whenever the wind blows
I hear a whisper of your voice.
Long after shadows,
thoughts of you remain.
Whenever the sun shines
I feel the warmth of you close.
And when I feel the rain…
The rain upon my face…
I long to be in your embrace.
Whenever the wind blows.

Why
02:55
|
|||
how did it come to this…
and we were so much in love.
don’t say you’re mine
that’s fine but that’s not enough.
how did it come to this…
you don’t mind if i don’t come home.
when i’m holding you,
i’ve never felt so alone.
oh but i have someone…
and she’s so good to me.
i have seen her face in mine,
if i go blind that’s fine with me.
how did it come to this
how did it come to this
how did it come to this
how did it come to this?

Birth
03:59
|
|||
i am safe inside
i can see your eyes
i am home
i am bathed in light
i can hear your voice
i am home
behold the light of a thousand suns
as i come to life i breathe your love
i am so alive
i am giving birth
i am home

For A Reason
05:27
|
|||
There are angels in quicksand and i cannot reach them.
Children with knowledge that no one should teach them.
And slain on the altar for no rhyme or reason,
Lies youth with its heart wide open and bleeding.
And life goes on. Life goes on.
Life goes on through the birth and the death and the madness.
Life goes on through the wicked brutality of sadness.
Through the miserable failed attempts to end it:
An atrocity that has God in tears and offended.
Life goes on…
For a reason. For a reason.
There are voices crying out but I cannot hear them.
To know they are out there, i don’t need to be near them.
Mothers with babies whose breathing is shallow.
I’ve been pierced through the wing, through my heart, by an arrow.
And life goes on. Life goes on.
Life goes on through the withering display of heartless.
Life goes on through the light and the strangling darkness.
Through the joy and the pain and the meetings in progress.
Through the days when we’re tangled in time and in nonsense.
Life goes on.
For a reason.
For a reason.
I smiled and I sighed and I said, “Do you know me?”
You laughed and you thought that you might as well love me.
I am yours for a reason.
You are mine for a reason.
For a reason.
For a reason.
